ICT for learning
Information and Communication Technologies are integral in
the learning across all year levels at BSS.
Teaching staff are continually participating in professional development
on the use of ICTs for learning. In the
junior school, Prep to year 2, each class has a set of iPads to enhance teaching and learning. A trial BYOD iPad class was established in
2016, with the intent of building on this in future years. Every classroom has either an interactive
whiteboard or interactive television providing essential links for our students
to the digital world of the 21st Century. Senior classrooms are well equipped with a
lab of laptops for their immediate learning needs. The school resource centre is also equipped
with a networked computer lab catering for whole class explicit ICT instruction. The lab is timetabled on a regular weekly
basis. Classes access the library and
the computer labs.
